Julius Caesar

Julis Caesar was in the office consul in 60 B.C. He had just got back from Spain where he then became govenor.h ehad to convince 3 men to make him council. three equal rulers later became known as the First Triumvirate. When his year long term ended he wanted to be govenor of Gaul.Caesar’s successes on the battlefield made him the most popular man in Rome. in 49 B.C teh Senate ordered to Caesar to go back to Rome but leave his army behind. Caesar was scared that his people would destroy him so he ignored that order and marched out with his army back to rome. He knew that if he obeyed the senate and disbanded his army he could loose his career. He set a good example that people cross the same river that caesar and his army crossed.

My Favorite Greek Thinker

My favorite greek thinker is Osiris. I like Osiris because no matter how hard he tried he never gave up. When he went to the underworld it was amazing. Th way he wanted to keep his title as king was how commited he was. he had to kill his brother. he was just a good ruler. i like him so much thast he is facinating. if i had to choose who to have as a king it would be Osiris. He's fair adn he has been to the underworld. AMAZING!!!!!!

Hector

Hector is person who fougth the Achilles. Hector did do the right thing by fighting them. He did di the right thing because he fought for his country and his family. the reason that Hector probably did it was that he could get the name as the best fighter and to show that he really cared for his family and country adn to show the types of heroes the Ancient Greek idolized. If i were in the same situation as Hector i wouil do the same thing and get a bigger army. Therefor we would win the same way Hector did.

The Nile River Advantages

The Nile River was the most important thing to the Egyptians. The Nile was the Eygiptians resource when they did not have rain. The Nile River gave them water to grow crops, drink, take showers, etc. The Nile actually ran to north Egypt instead of south. The Nile River brought life to Egypt and it also let it let it thrive. The river was so important that a Greek historian named Herodotus called Egypt The Gift Of Nile. The Nile cuts right through the desert of Upper Eygept. There it created a fertile river valley about 13 miles wide. The Nile use to flood but Egyptians thought it was the best thing that could happen unlike the Mesopotamians. Here are the importance of the Nile River.

gilgamesh:the hero

Gilgamesh would be considered a hero. him and his partner wanting to see the world and give to Mesopotamia. bringing back wood for houses was very thoughtful.also what i think was very thoughtful was that they were brave enough to fight Enkidu.
he stopped his journey one night to pray to his god. that makes me think hes probably thanking his gods for making him that far and for his people.the next morning they went into the forest all the way to the top and they found the tallest trees to cut down.until they heard the evil demon Enkidu. the gods had sent him down from above to give Gilgamesh a challenge. of course they stayed and fought and got scratched. but what happen after that.

Gilgamesh friend unfortunately died. when trying to revive him, Enkidu and Gilgamesh became the best of friends.they did not succeed but they tried. all thanks to Gilgamesh.

Here is a picture of Gilgamesh:

jasmine:the mesopotamiann who had it hard

coming to sumer was a very difficult transaction. it is better than the plains now but with that flooding the plains seem better. now that we have a river that is connected to the two main rivers the tigris and the eufarates river, alot of flooding has happened. the rain here is horrible too. there was bearly any rain and when there was it was to MUCH. it would pour cats and dogs out here. so no matter how much rain we didnt get it poured as a punishment. even though we created an irrigation system to much silt. we would have to dig it out. i hope there is a purpose in moving here.
